Hurricane Preparedness Planning in a COVID-19 World Webinar Replay

To help you prepare, Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Services recently hosted several experts in a special virtual event.

Phil Klotzbach, Ph. D., Research Scientist in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University, is the author of the seasonal Atlantic Basin hurricane forecasts and the developer of the two-week forecasts currently being issued during the peak months of the hurricane season between August-October. Dr. Klotzbach shared detailed insights on storm trends and expectations.

Tom Hettinger, ACAS, MAAA, CERA, is the Strategic Advisory Leader of the US and Canada for Guy Carpenter, where he and his team use predictive catastrophe modeling to help their clients prepare for potential loss scenarios. Using GC AdvantagePoint software, Tom provided viewers with insights on how record-breaking catastrophe-related losses affect the insurance marketplace and your coverage.

Rounding out the session was Jason Metzger, Senior Vice President responsible for Risk Management and Service Operations at PURE insurance. With his 20+ years of experience serving clients with high-value properties, Jason gave the audience helpful tips on some of the key considerations to prepare their property for hurricane season.
